Baseball Prospectus and Major League Baseball Advanced Media have partnered to present our playoff probabilities to a new audience at To see the second home of the playoff probabilities, go to, click on Standings, and navigate to the Postseason Probabilities tab. There you'll find some of the same stats you're used to seeing on our Playoff Odds Report: each team's chances of winning a division title or a wild card, as well as its overall chances of making the postseason. If you'd like to see the probabilities for any other day during the season, just select the date you want from the calendar on the upper left or use the arrows to go back or advance by one day at a time.

So what does this mean for you, the loyal BP reader who knew about our playoff odds before they changed their look, went mainstream, and started selling out stadiums? Well, maybe not that much in the short term; you can continue to access the complete Playoff Odds Report at BP. But this is still exciting news: more recognition means more readers, more readers means more revenue, and more revenue means more opportunities to increase the value of your subscription. We're excited to see our playoff probabilities appear on a new platform, and we look forward to finding more ways to work with MLBAM in the months ahead.

This partnership would not have been possible without the work of BP CEO Joe Hamrahi, the BP tech team of Rob McQuown and Colin Wyers, and Cory Schwartz, Vice President, Stats at MLB Advanced Media.

Congratulations to the BP team!
It used to be about the music!
Next thing you know, MLB will start using instant replay!
so, if my subscription increases in value, can I sell it for a profit?
