Hector Rodriguez, OF, Cincinnati Reds (LIDOM Escogido): 3-4, R, 2B, RBI.
Rodriguez put together impressive numbers as a teenager in the Florida State League, slashing .293/.347/.510 but came back down to earth a bit against the more advanced High-A pitching during his late season stint at Dayton. There is some power in the profile, but Rodriguez doesn’t get to it fully due to his alarmingly high chase rate. Unless he can reign in the ultra-aggressive approach, Rodriguez might continue to be exposed in the upper minors.
