It wouldn’t be a new season without a new slate of Baseball Prospectus ballpark events, and I’m particularly excited about what we have planned for 2018. Not only will we be returning to New York and Minnesota, by popular demand, but we’ll be coming to four cities we haven’t visited since the early part of the decade. Not only will we be visiting stadiums, we’ll be spending time with some old friends and hopefully meeting a bunch of new ones.
Our goal with these events remains to be able to provide a relatively low-cost experience to our readers that can help connect them with their local team and some of their favorite authors in a setting we can all enjoy. All of the events include game tickets, access to a pre-game program that includes panels with members of the team’s front office, BP staffers and special guests. We’ve even planned it so that three of these events are on Bobblehead giveaway nights. (The correlation between those who enjoy/appreciate advanced metrics and statistical analysis and those who love Bobbleheads has always been very strong.)
