BP360 is back! Pick up a yearly subscription, 2025 Annual, and t-shirt for one great price!

One of my favorite things about being a part of Baseball Prospectus is interacting with you, our readers. You are an extension of what we do—with a collective, driving thirst for baseball knowledge that is unparalleled on the internet. And while talking to you all either in our chats, comments section, Bat Signal, or various social media platforms is great, we like to get out there and see you in person as well. Yes, you. So each year, we schedule a number of ballpark events so we can all hang out together in the cathedrals of our collective choosing.

This year, we even put out a survey specifically to find out what you all wanted out of these events. As a result, we’ve scheduled them for some of the most popular venues and we’ve made them a little more cost-conscious so we can bring as many people out to the ballpark with us as possible.

For those of you who have not been to an event with us before (and as a reminder for those who have), here is what you can expect from the experience:

  • Admittance to a private "meet and greet" with Baseball Prospectus personalities and special guests approximately 2 hours prior to game time.
  • A question and answer session with members of the home team’s front office, followed by one with BP staff members.
  • A ticket to the game, where you can sit alongside some of your favorite writers and your fellow readers.
  • A $15 coupon to be used toward a new Baseball Prospectus Premium or Super Premium subscription or your next Premium or Super Premium renewal.

Some events have giveaways, like bobbleheads or t-shirts. Some events have concession vouchers built into the ticket. For full details of what each event includes, please check out the individual links listed below.

Thank you for putting these together. The west coast is sad.

Maybe next year.

Agreed, Oakland or San Francisco would have been a nice addition.

Next year.

Right now, we're not set up for this in the store, but let me check to see what our options are. Can you please e-mail me through the site?

Bret,

Thanks for the reply. It turns out that my tickets are for Sunday so no need to look any further.

Any chance you will add other cities like down in Tampa?

We are looking into potentially adding 1-2 more this year, but focusing on these first. I'd say Tampa is unlikely since there was very little interest in an event there from the survey. But if enough people clamor for an event somewhere, we will do our best to have one.

I loved the one I attended in STL a few years back that had Hamrahi and Parks, and I am going to do my damnedest to get to BAL, where having recently moved to the general region, I've never been to.

What about Atlanta??
bretsayre

We tried Atlanta last year, but there was just no demand for an event there. Maybe the new stadium will help, but we'll continue polling our readers to see where our events will be most successful.

Inadequate demand, maybe, but not "no demand." Hope you'll give us another chance.

Absolutely - we're going to run another survey and potentially look for other ways for readers to group together in order to have an event in their hometown. We will go wherever there is enough support for us to go--we love having these events with our readers.

Was there not enough interest in Denver?

Denver just barely missed the cut for this year, but will be on our short list for 2018. Hopefully it will work out and we'll see you then!

I agree - stay tuned for a potential announcement on that front in the coming weeks..

If we have our own tickets to the game, is there an option to purchase the pre-game festivities only?
bretsayre

Yes, if you already have a ticket to the game in question, just order through the below link and let us know which event you're planning on coming to. That way we'll get you on the list for the pre-game panels and meet/greet:
