For years and years Kent county cricket ground (a first class cricket team) had a hundred and fifty year old Oak tree growing in the outfield, If a batsman hit it with the ball he would score a six -, even if the ball travelled along the ground.

Punishments from me:

1) Player is suspended for the same amount of time injured player. Including post season. It seems fair and obvious to me. Not all injuries are equal and the penalty should consider this.
2) I imagine MLB and the team would take the hacker to court like they do in every other industry. The intern is fired and the front office gives up draft picks, Suspending the FO members doesn't give information back and most information is probably scouting stuff.
3) 5 games maybe.
