  • Padres RP Huston Street notched his 11th save by tossing a perfect ninth.
  • Padres SP Jason Marquis allowed two runs — one earned — on three hits over six innings for the win.
  • Padres OF Chris Denorfia went 3-for-4 with a steal and an RBI.
  • Cardinals SP Shelby Miller coughed up three runs on five hits over 5 2/3 innings in the loss.

  • Reds SP Johnny Cueto won in his return from the disabled list after allowing three runs and three hits in five innings.
  • Reds RP Aroldis Chapman bounced back from Sunday's blown save by pitching a perfect ninth in a one-run game.
  • Mets SP Shaun Marcum fell to 0-5 after allowing four runs in six innings.
  • Mets 1B Ike Davis was removed in a double-switch after going 0-for-3 with two strikeouts.

  • Diamondbacks OF A.J. Pollock broke out of a slump by going 3-for-5 with two runs scored.
  • Diamondbacks SP Patrick Corbin moved to 7-0 by pitching a three-hitter and striking out 10.
  • Rockies SP Jon Garland was roughed up giving up eleven hits and five runs over 6 innings.
  • Diamondbacks SS Didi Gregorius went 3-for-5 with two RBI.
  • Diamondbacks 3B Eric Chavez went 3-for-5 with an RBI triple.

  • Giants OF Angel Pagan went 2-for-5 with a double and three RBI.
  • Giants OF Andres Torres went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a run scored.
  • Giants SP Ryan Vogelsong pitched well giving up just three hits over 5 scoreless innings before leaving the game due to injury.

  • Mariners SP Hisashi Iwakuma allowed five earned runs over six innings Monday in the Mariners' loss to the Indians.
  • Indians C Yan Gomes slugged two home runs — including a 10th-inning walkoff.
  • Indians SP Scott Kazmir was shelled for five earned runs over three innings in a no-decision.
  • Mariners RP Tom Wilhelmsen blew his first save of the season.
(23-21) Rays – 5 at 7 – Blue Jays (18-26)
  • Blue Jays SP R.A. Dickey yielded three runs (two earned) in eight innings.
  • Rays SP Jake Odorizzi gave up three runs in five innings in his debut.
  • Blue Jays 1B Edwin Encarnacion went 2-for-3 with a three-run double and a run scored.
  • Rays SS Yunel Escobar smacked a two-run homer in a loss.

  • Athletics SP Bartolo Colon allowed just two runs over seven innings.
  • Athletics OF Seth Smith went 2-for-4 with a homer, two walks and three runs scored.
  • Rangers SP Josh Lindblom was shaky in his first start of the year allowing four runs and seven hits over 4.2 innings in the loss.
  • Making his first start this season, Rangers 2B Jurickson Profar went 0-for-2 with a pair of RBI.

  • White Sox SP Dylan Axelrod allowed two runs and four hits in six innings to pick up a win.
  • Red Sox SP Jon Lester yielded six runs — five earned — in six innings to take his first loss of the season.
  • White Sox 1B Adam Dunn hit a three-run homer off Jon Lester.
  • Red Sox C Jarrod Saltalamacchia went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer.

  • Astros 3B Matt Dominguez went 2-for-4 and hit a three-run homer off Jeremy Guthrie.
  • Astros RP Jose Veras struck out two in a perfect ninth to earn his seventh save.
  • Royals SP Jeremy Guthrie took a second straight loss after allowing six runs in five innings.
  • Royals 2B Miguel Tejada's first homer since July 16, 2011 was a three-run shot off Dallas Keuchel.

  • Yankees SP CC Sabathia gave up four runs and 11 hits in 6 1/3 innings.

  • An MRI on Dodgers 3B Jerry Hairston Jr.'s knee has revealed tendinitis.
  • Rockies OF Michael Cuddyer (neck) will play two games in extended spring training this week and is expected to be activated from the disabled list Friday.
  • Phillies 1B Ryan Howard received a cortisone shot in his left knee on Sunday.
  • Phillies C Carlos Ruiz was diagnosed with a Grade 2 strain of his right hamstring and is expected to miss 3-4 weeks.
  • Padres manager Bud Black said he'd like OF Cameron Maybin (wrist) to get around 30 rehab at-bats.
  • Padres OF James Darnell could need another surgery on his left shoulder after injuring it at Triple-A Tucson on May 14.
  • Cardinals SP Jake Westbrook (elbow) plans to resume throwing from a mound on Tuesday.
  • Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said RP Scott Elbert's (elbow) velocity during his rehab assignment "still isn't where we want it to be."
  • Dodgers SS Hanley Ramirez (hamstring) has been taking ground balls and hitting recently.
  • Brewers 1B Corey Hart (knee) ran on the field and took full batting practice.

  • Indians SP Brett Myers (elbow) will make his second minor league rehab start on Wednesday at Double-A Akron.
  • Indians C Lou Marson (shoulder) admitted Monday that there is no timetable for his return to the Indians' active roster.
  • Rangers SP Colby Lewis (elbow) allowed two runs over 2 1/3 innings Monday in a rehab start with Double-A Frisco.
  • Yankees 1B Mark Teixeira (wrist) went 1-for-2 with a walk Monday in his first extended spring training game.
  • Mariners SP Danny Hultzen (shoulder) has begun playing catch.
  • Angels RP Sean Burnett reported no pain in his left forearm after playing catch on Sunday afternoon.
  • Angels SP Jered Weaver (elbow) is scheduled to pitch in a game at extended spring training on Wednesday.
  • Yankees C Chris Stewart (groin) estimated Monday that it will be likely be a few more days before he's ready to return to the lineup.

National League:

  • Cardinals RP Trevor Rosenthal has not allowed a run since April 24.
  • Dodgers SP Ted Lilly will be available out of the bullpen for the next couple days but then will rejoin the Dodgers' rotation.
  • Pitching exclusively out of the bullpen, Diamondbacks RP Josh Collmenter is 1-0 with a 2.45 ERA and 0.95 WHIP over 22 innings.
American League:

  • Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said Monday that OF Anthony Gose will not be an everyday player.
  • Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said Friday that SP Kyle Gibson, P.J. Walters, or Sam Deduno will be called up to start Friday against the Tigers.
  • Red Sox manager John Farrell does not want to use RP Andrew Bailey on back-to-back days for now.
  • Rangers manager Ron Washington said 2B Jurickson Profar will split playing time with Leury Garcia at second base while Ian Kinsler is on the disabled list.
