Welcome to the first weekend of the new season! If you're a Nationals pitcher currently in Cincinnati, you may want to take it easy. Whiplash isn't the kind of thing to take lightly.

Let's get to the trots!

Home Run of the Day: Chris Davis, Baltimore Orioles – 23.96 seconds [video]
Chris Davis cannot be stopped. With his go-ahead grand slam on Friday, Davis tied a record for most consecutive games at the start of the season with a home run at four. He also earned his 16th RBI of the season, leaving him on pace for 648 RBIs in 2013.

Slowest Trot: Prince Fielder #2, Detroit Tigers – 25.63 seconds [video]
It was a big day for the Prince. In the Tigers' home opener, Fielder socked two home runs. The second home run went deep into the right field stands, eliciting a classic bat flip from the Detroit first baseman.

The first of these two home runs hit this fan at the railing in right field, knocking her down (hopefully without any lasting issues).

Quickest Trot: jean Segura, Milwaukee Brewers – 17.89 seconds [video]
The Milwaukee shortstop hit his first career home run last night and was beyond thrilled about it. As the ball cleared the fence in center field, the camera cut back to show the 23-year old with his helmet pulled off in celebration, racing around the bases. He finished with a very Carlos Gomez-esque 17.89 second trot, easily the fastest of the day.
