  • Padres OF Alexi Amarista delivered a game-winning hit in the bottom of the 11th.
  • Padres SP Robbie Erlin pitched seven innings of two-run ball.
  • Diamondbacks SP Trevor Cahill allowed two runs in 5 2/3 innings in a no-decision.
  • 3B Martin Prado hit his first homer in a month to give the Diamondbacks their only two runs.

  • 2B Scooter Gennett singled in two of the Brewers' four runs.
  • Brewers SP Johnny Hellweg was lifted after allowing one run in four innings.

  • Braves SP David Hale allowed one run in six innings to pick up a win in his spot start.

  • Giants OF Angel Pagan homered off Paco Rodriguez in the bottom of the eighth inning.
  • Giants SP Tim Lincecum allowed two runs in seven innings and struck out six.
  • Dodgers SP Edinson Volquez yielded two runs in five innings in a no-decision.

  • Rays SP Alex Cobb allowed three hits over seven-plus innings.
  • Yankees SP Ivan Nova took a loss after allowing two runs in seven innings.
  • RP Mariano Rivera retired all four batters he faced in his final appearance at Yankee Stadium.
  • Rays 1B James Loney went 3-for-3 with a double and a walk.

  • Rangers 2B Jurickson Profar launched a pinch-hit walk-off solo homer.
  • Rangers SP Matt Garza gave up four runs (one earned) over 5 1/3 innings in a no-decision.
  • Angels SP Jerome Williams yielded three runs in five innings in a no-decision.
  • Angels 1B Mark Trumbo busted out of his recent funk by going 3-for-5 with an RBI single.

  • Royals SP Jeremy Guthrie surrendered two runs and four hits in seven innings.
  • RP Greg Holland set a Royals single-season record with his 46th save.
  • White Sox SP Andre Rienzo allowed three runs -- two earned -- in six innings.
  • White Sox DH Adam Dunn went 2-for-3 with a homer and a walk.

  • Orioles SP Miguel Gonzalez allowed an unearned run and two hits over seven innings to win.
  • Orioles C Matt Wieters had a solo homer and a sac fly

National League:
  • Cubs placed C Welington Castillo on the 15-day disabled list with a right knee injury.
  • Marlins signed INF Greg Dobbs to a one-year, $1.7 million contract extension.
  • Mets transferred RHP Matt Harvey to the 60-day disabled list.
  • Mets activated OF Cesar Puello from the restricted list.
American League:
  • Rays sent RHP J.D. Martin outright to Triple-A Durham.
  • Blue Jays purchased the contract of OF Ryan Langerhans from Triple-A Buffalo.
  • Blue Jays transferred LHP Brett Cecil from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list.
Injury Updates:

National League:

  • Phillies OF Ben Revere (foot) has been participating in instructional league games this week in Clearwater, Florida.
  • Braves SP Brandon Beachy underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right elbow on Thursday.
  • Dodgers 3B Jerry Hairston Jr. was unavailable to play Thursday due to back spasms.
  • Braves RP Jordan Walden (groin) might not be on the Braves' postseason roster.
  • Mets 3B David Wright has passed his concussion tests.
  • Braves C Brian McCann left Thursday's game against the Phillies with a right adductor strain.
  • Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said Thursday that OF Andre Ethier (ankle) will not return during the regular season.
American League:
  • Indians SP Justin Masterson (oblique) threw a scoreless inning of relief Wednesday night against the White Sox.
  • SS Jose Iglesias (hand) was used as a defensive replacement in the Tigers' win over the Twins on Wednesday.
  • Orioles OF Chris Dickerson will be unavailable for the rest of the season due to a hamstring injury.
  • Mariners SP Erasmo Ramirez (groin) will start for the Mariners on Sunday at home against the visiting A's.
  • Angels OF J.B. Shuck left Thursday's game against the Rangers with a sprained right ankle.
  • Blue Jays SP Mark Buehrle has been diagnosed with a right calf contusion.
  • Twins OF Oswaldo Arcia (knee) will took batting practice Thursday.
  • White Sox RP David Purcey (elbow) has been shut down for 4-6 weeks.
Notes & Rumors

National League:

  • According to Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle, contract talks "haven't progressed very far" between the Giants and impending free agent OF Hunter Pence.
  • Braves OF Jason Heyward is expected to be in the lineup for the final four games of the regular season.
  • MLB has suspended Braves OF Reed Johnson and fined him an undisclosed amount for his involvement in Wednesday's benches-clearing incident with the Brewers on Wednesday.
  • MLB suspended Brewers OF Carlos Gomez for one game for his actions during Wednesday's game against the Braves.
  • Mets SP Jon Niese will start Sunday's season finale against the Brewers.

American League:

  • According to CBS Sports' Jon Heyman, 2B Robinson Cano has asked the Yankees for a $300 million contract.
  • Orioles 2B Alexi Casilla is not expected to play in the final four games of the season.
  • The Yankees have pushed SP Andy Pettitte's final start back to Saturday against the Astros.
  • Mariners SP James Paxton will not make his final scheduled start.
  • Yankees 3B Alex Rodriguez's spokesman, Ron Berkowitz, confirmed that his client will be in Houston this weekend.
