  • CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports that Mets SP Matt Harvey is expected to attempt to rehab the partial tear of the ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow rather than undergo Tommy John surgery.
  • Nationals manager Davey Johnson said that SS Ian Desmond is dealing with some hamstring tightness.
  • Nationals SP Stephen Strasburg (forearm) is on track to start Thursday against the Marlins.
  • Diamondbacks RP Matt Reynolds will undergo Tommy John surgery next Tuesday.
  • Rockies manager Walt Weiss said that 3B Nolan Arenado (thumb) will likely be out "a few days."
  • Rockies C Wilin Rosario left Tuesday's game against the Cardinals after aggravating his calf injury.
  • Padres SP Cory Luebke (elbow) will have his arm examined by orthopedic surgeon Dr. Tim Kremchek in Cincinnati this week.
  • Mets C Travis d'Arnaud left Tuesday's game against the Giants with a sore right shoulder.
  • Mets SP Matt Harvey will be on a 6-8 week throwing program to see how his right elbow responds.
  • Dodgers OF Andre Ethier is still wearing a protective boot on his left ankle.

  • Diamondbacks top prospect Archie Bradley was named as the Southern League's Pitcher of the Year for 2013.
  • Dodgers SP Hyun-Jin Ryu's next start will come on Tuesday in San Francisco.
  • Phillies RP Zach Miner is scheduled to make a spot start on Wednesday against the Marlins.

American League:

  • The White Sox will skip SP Hector Santiago's next turn in the rotation.
  • Athletics manager Bob Melvin said that RP Brett Anderson is likely to remain in the bullpen for the rest of the season.
  • Mariners OF Raul Ibanez plans to return for another season in 2014.
  • SP Felix Doubront will rejoin Boston's starting rotation this Saturday against the Blue Jays.
