  • Rockies OF Carlos Gonzalez (finger) is unlikely to be activated from the disabled list when he's first eligible next Tuesday.
  • Padres OF Cameron Maybin has been temporarily pulled from his minor league rehab assignment with Triple-A Tucson due to continued pain in his left knee.
  • Pirates OF Travis Snider (toe) will take batting practice Tuesday.
  • Cardinals OF Matt Holliday left Tuesday's game against the Pirates after turning his ankle.
  • Nationals C Wilson Ramos left Tuesday's game against the Giants after re-injuring his left hamstring.
  • Marlins OF Chris Coghlan (back) will play third base when he begins a rehab assignment with High-A Jupiter Wednesday.
  • Padres OF Carlos Quentin (knee) will not return from the disabled list on Thursday, the first day he's eligible.

  • Cardinals RP Trevor Rosenthal ranks second in the National League with 25 holds.
  • Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports that the Marlins have had internal discussions about signing 1B Mark Reynolds.
  • Nationals prospect RHP A.J. Cole has registered a 1.73 ERA and 26/7 K/BB ratio in 26 innings following a promotion to Double-A Harrisburg in late July.
  • Mets SP Matt Harvey is likely to be shut down once he reaches 200 innings.
