Oof. Four days can feel like an eternity sometimes.

With a full extended weekend to look at, we better get right to the trots.

Home Run of the Day: Nate McLouth, Baltimore Orioles – 23.66 seconds [video]
Ryan Braun also hit a big fly on Monday night (though ESPN's Home Run Tracker wasn't quite that impressed with either Braun or McLouth), but McLouth's fly helped bring the Orioles back from behind on their way to the win while in the playoff hunt. It definitely deserves today's top honor.

Over the weekend, we were also treated to three home runs by Chris Davis, some theatrics on the basepaths from Nick Swisher and Ike Davis (at least Davis' came on a walkoff blast), multiple home runs from Giancarlo Stanton, Curtis Granderson's 200th career home run, an inside the park home run from Justin Upton, a cycle from Adrian Beltre, a pair of first-career home runs, and a home run from Adrian Gonzalez in his first at-bat as a Dodger (among others). It was a pretty full weekend.

Slowest Trot: Ryan Braun, Milwaukee Brewers – 25.39 seconds [video]
Seriously, how is this Braun home run 404 feet while this Carlos Gomez home run is also 404 feet? I trust the math at the Home Run Tracker 100%, but sometimes it's really hard to see.

Also on Monday were two invalid trots. Bronson Arroyo, the Cincinnati pitcher, had to stop at second with a double until the call was reviewed and overturned. In New York, Nick Swisher hit a blast to leftfield that seemed to confuse people for a moment. The ball was ruled a home run on the field, but evidence hints that Swisher stopped at first until he knew for sure. You can't see it in this video, but the Toronto feed cuts to Swisher very slowly moving from first base (and talking to the umpire) three seconds after the ball bounces back on the field. Overall, the trot was 29.37 seconds long, which is highly unusual for Swisher. All of this makes me nearly certain that Swisher stopped his trot until he knew if the ball was really over the wall.

Saturday and Sunday provided no notably slow trots. On Friday, however, Yadier Molina beat out Hanley Ramirez for the slowest trot of the night. Hanley's slow trot came after a beauty of a pose at home plate and clocked in at 26.99 seconds. Molina, meanwhile, beat him with a 27.54 seconds. Despite the stereotype regarding the Molina family, this trot is not normal for Yadier.

Quickest Trot: Carlos Gomez, Milwaukee Brewers – 17.52* seconds [video]
This trot is a bit tough to judge, as neither television feed shows Gomez's feet. He may have touched home plate with either of his feet. Either way, Gomez's trot wasn't fast enough to place him in the top 10 on the year.

The only quick trot of note from the weekend was the inside-the-park home run from Justin Upton. Upton sprinted home after the favorable bounce in centerfield in 15.16 seconds. The inside-the-parker came with one runner on and gave the Diamondbacks a 2-1 lead. For some reason, however, the Arizona announcer called it an "inside-the-park grand slam". Now that would have been something to see!
