I second the call for a Philadelphia event.

Also, can these Book Tour events please be added to the Events and Appearances calendar on the left side?

In a previous blog post, the Philly situation was discussed at some length. We Philly folks will have to settle for a road trip to Princeton this year.

Frankly, I don't mind. The previous Princeton event was a full house and a lot of fun. (The pizza was only so-so but the price was right.) As long as we get a decent crowd and lots of good baseball talk, I'll drive the hour+ each way.

Thanks, D. I didn't mean to suggest that we would be milling about on that corner.

Any hope/prayer for a northern NJ event? I know some very charming conference rooms.

Just curious .... how would one get to the Princeton event if they were carless?

(I'm busy on the NYC night)

Princeton Junction has an NJ Transit/Amtrak stop. It's not much of a cab ride from there to Marketfair on US1. Just check train schedules for the trip home - Princeton Junction is used a lot by commuters but I don't know how many trains stop there northbound in the later evening. You won't need a taxi back to the station - someone will give you a ride (yes, I'm volunteering).

...Or you could rent a car for a day...then you don't have to care about train schedules.

...Or see if one of the NY-based folks can give you a ride...

While the train ride down to P'ton during rush hour can be pretty quick if you're on an express train (about an hour), the return trip will be a local ride and will take much longer.

Below are the return trains:

- Leaves
- P'ton :::: Arrives
- Jnctn :::: NYC
09.20 pm :: 10:39 pm
10:04 pm :: 11:25 pm
11:16 pm :: 12:41 am
12:01 am :: 01:22 am
01:12 am :: 02:49 am

[And if the event goes later than that... well, there are also hotels next door to Marketfair]

For those NYCers who do wish to brave the train schedule listed above, I will volunteer to shuttle however many of you can fit into my car over to the station (in addition to KBarth).
