Troy E. Renck of the Denver Post writes that Ubaldo Jimenez keeps making history in leading the Rockies past the Diamondbacks for his 11thwin, though his ERA rises to 0.93.

George A. King III of the New York Post writes that the Yankees' big eighth inning backs up Javier Vazquez's terrific start as they avoid being swept by rallying past the Blue Jays. King also writes that the groin is a sore subject for Alex Rodriguez but he is expected to play against the Orioles on Tuesday night in Baltimore.

David Waldstein of the New York Times writes that Jerry Manuel's positive energy ignites the Mets as they rally past the Marlins to extend their home winning streak to eight games.

Marc Topkin of the St. Petersburg Times writes that rookie catcher John Jaso has a home run and five RBIs as the Rays salvage the finale of a three-game series with the Rangers.

Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times writes that A.J. Ellis leads the Dodgers' walk-off victory as they beat the Braves in 11 innings and split a four-game series. Miguel A. Melendez of the Los Angeles Daily News writes that the late Jose Lima is honored by the Dodgers.

Chris Jenkins of the San Diego Union-Tribune writes that the Padres' worst game turns into a victory as Oscar Salazar pushes them past the Phillies in 10 innings.

Dan Connolly of the Baltimore Sun writes that Nick Markakis ends the Orioles' 10-game losing streak with a game-winning single in the 11thinning against the Red Sox.

Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register writes that Mike Napoli helps the Angels continue their surge as they win their fifth straight game by beating the Mariners.

Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle writes that Gio Gonzalez wins his third straight game as the Athletics beat the Twins and avoid a three-game series weep.

Anthony Witrado of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel writes that the bullpen and hitters save the day as the Brewers beat the Cardinals on Corey Hart's sacrifice fly in the 10thinning. Witrado also writes that pitching changes are coming to the Brewers.

Dave van Dyck of the Chicago Tribune writes that the White Sox overcome a poor outing by Mark Buehrle as Carlos Quentin helps them rally past the Indians.

Terez A. Paylor of the Kansas City Star writes that the Royals' Brian Bannister puts a cap on the Tigers with his fifth straight victory.

John Fay of the Cincinnati Enquirer writes that Drew Stubbs breaks a tie with Reds-do-it-again">an RBI single in the 10thinning as the Reds outlast the Nationals.

Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle writes that the Giants survive a roller-coaster ninth inning to beat the Pirates in 10.

Zachary Levine of the Houston Chronicle writes that Carlos Lee and Pedro Feliz lead the Astros to a victory over the Cubs.

Manny Navarro of the Miami Herald writes that the wait is over as the Marlins call up Mike Stanton.

Adam Kilgore of the Washington Post writes that an extensive process led to the Nationals' decision to draft Bryce Harper with the first overall pick tonight.  Bob Nightengale of USA Today writes that Harper has growing up to do.

Joe Christensen of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune writes that Orlando Hudson and J.J. Hardy may be headed to the disabled list.

Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram writes that Josh Hamilton gets treatment for a sore knee.

David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution writes that Chipper Jones gets a cortisone shot in his sore finger and could return to the lineup soon.

Tom Gage of the Detroit News writes that the reeling Tigers cut ties with Adam Everett.
