DateQuestionAnswer
2015-09-21 20:30:00 (link to chat)With Giants having worked magic with uninspiring profiles, is it worth seeing what Mac Williamson can do?
(Tim from Yes)
Nope, but I've been wrong before with that organization. (Bret Sayre)
2015-07-16 20:00:00 (link to chat)Do you see either Mac Williamson or Adam Duvall as impact players at the big league level? Both have swing and miss but seems like SF could use the power potential. Thanks!
(baypunx from around)
I've always been a closet Adam Duvall fan...There's a reason SF wins championships because they have a small army of these types of guys ready to step in at a moments notice. (George Bissell)
2015-05-26 19:00:00 (link to chat)Have you heard anything new about Mac Williamson this season in AA that would change his projection? He kind of reminds me of Mike Morse at the plate. Is that a fair comparison?
(Mark83 from SF)
I haven't heard anything different in terms of his projection. Morse is probably the ceiling, but Williamson has to start making more contact. (Mike Gianella)
2015-03-06 14:00:00 (link to chat)Which of these "fringe" prospects can you see playing beyond this label and their division 2 projections and being above average regulars some day? Mac Williamson, Preston Tucker, Darnell Sweeney, Tony Kemp, Devon Travis?
(GI JIM from Uranus)
Do you remember the seen in 30 rock when Kenneth is Tracey's work wife and he gives him the plan for the day and then Tracey says "I'M NOT DOING ANY OF THAT!" ?

That's how I feel about the names you just mentioned. Sweeney and Kemp the best of the bunch though. (Christopher Crawford)
2015-01-09 13:00:00 (link to chat)Hi Nick, In Giants-land much is made of the fact that the farm system has not produced a star outfielder since Chili Davis way back in the early 80's. The Giants just won the WS with a completely home grown infield and a mostly home grown starting staff and bullpen. So why do you think it is that their OF prospects just don't match up... a flaw in philosophy, scouting, coaching, something else?
(Cal Guy from Cal)
To my eyes it looks like it might be as simple as not having OF as a particular focus on the acquisition side. Haven't really poured draft/int'l assets into that portion of the roster, whereas we've seen the org put an emphasis on acquiring arms and to a slightly lesser extent, infielders. Mac Williamson is an interesting stick, and once healthy in 2015 it will be a situation worth following closely as his stock could jump a great deal if he picks up where he left off in 2013/2014. (NL West Top 10s With Nick Faleris)
2014-03-17 13:00:00 (link to chat)thoughts on Mac Williamson?
(mblthd from SF)
For players with standout tools but questionable hit tools, Double-A is always the biggest test. We'll know a lot more this year. (Jeff Moore)
2013-04-04 11:00:00 (link to chat)strictly for fantasy purposes which prospect would you prefer if all players reached their potential.. Manuel Margot, Gabriel Guerrero or Mac Williamson?
(tman12 from nyc)
Guerrero (Jason Parks)
