2014 Due to publishing agreements, the 2014 player comments and team essays are only available in the Baseball Prospectus 2014 book (available in hardcopy, e-book, and Kindle).
2013 Travis Harrison, a 2011 sandwich-round pick, has the misfortune of being the positionless player with an excellent bat that's just not nearly as excellent as Miguel Sano's.
2012 Supplemental first-round pick Travis Harrison, a Southern California prepster, was considered to have one of the best pure bats in his high school class, hence his above-slot $1,050,000 bonus; he has middle-of-the-order potential, and a good arm, but he's not very athletic, and could be a project at third base.

DateQuestionAnswer
2013-07-12 19:30:00 (link to chat)Nick, have you ever seen Travis Harrison this season? If yes, can you talk about your thoughts?
(Jason Parks from Brooklyn)
I have. Long evaluative history with Harrison, and it's been a roller coaster. Looks to be in better shape right now and has at least a chance to stick at third (whereas last year I would have said he was almost certainly limited to first). Getting out in front too often, and swing-and-miss looks like a long term trade-off for the leverage, but I like what I see right now. (Nick Faleris on Draft Signing Day)
