|2014-09-03 14:00:00 (link to chat)||Right at the end of the season Devon Travis saw some time in CF. Do you think he can handle that position going forward? And do you think his bat plays in the big leagues?|
(Zack from Windsor)
|I don't know of any 40 runners that play CF, so I'm skeptical at best. It's nice for his value, but I don't think it necessarily means anything long term. He's not the Tigers CF of the future or anything, and the arm is below average out there. This isn't a Mookie Betts situation, Mookie is a far superior athlete. Travis' bat plays, but he's got second division upside for me at best. (Jordan Gorosh)|
|2014-07-22 15:00:00 (link to chat)||What do you hear about Tigers 2B prospect Devon Travis? He's coming through in AA as he did over lower levels last year and continues to hit for average with some power and speed. What's his future?|
(JB from CT)
|I've seen quite a bit of Travis. Here's what I wrote about him this offseason: http://www.blessyouboys.com/2014/3/3/5464756/tigers-top-30-prospects-15-devon-travis
TL;DR hit first profile, well below average speed, steady glove, fringy arm, grinder, good teammate. (Jordan Gorosh)

(Aidan from SoCal)
|He's more grinder that maxes out his ability/tools than he is an everyday guy. He's got a good approach and good bat to ball ability, but the thump comes up short and he's just a solid glove. I just don't see it playing everyday for a first division club. (Mark Anderson)|
|2013-11-05 13:00:00 (link to chat)||1)How are Devon Travis and Cory Kniebel doing in the AFL? any reason to change (for good or bad) their long term projections?
2)If you're Dave Dombrowski, how do you fix the bullpen?|
(DetroitDale from Tallahassee (eternal spring training))
|Travis putting in work; iffy profile for me. Knebel was arguably the "closest to majors" arm in last year's draft class, considering the reliever profile, and he has largely shown the same in his pro outings. Take a look at the Tigers draft this year and I think you'll get a good idea as to what the org has in mind when it comes to addressing the bullpen -- lots and lots of collegiate arms injected into the system -- first six picks could all be effective pen arms, with some having a chance to start long term. All are worth following in 2014 -- Crawford, Knebel, Ziomek, Kubitza could arguably contribute in some form if pushed. (Nick J. Faleris)|

(cal Guy from cali)
|He's probably got a big league future, but without a significant power tool he seems like more of an OK MI regular or a capable utility player and not a future star. (Mike Gianella)|
No BP Roundtables have mentioned this guy.
