Tool Future Grade Report
Hit 55 Elite coordination with above-average bat speed. Swing from both sides is flat and built for line drives, which he sprays around the field. Quality plate appearances with good spin recognition. Showed ability to stay back and foul off pitches he gets fooled by.
Power 20 Well below-average raw power and virtually no game power. Swing is flat and doesn't tap fully into what he does have. Doubles power limited to when he finds a gap or hits it into a corner.
Baserunning/Speed 40 Below-average runner, but it plays up on the basepaths due to excellent instincts and reads off the bat.
Glove 55 Excellent defensive instincts, reads, and first steps off the bat. Limited lateral range limits his effectiveness on ball in the hole. Overall, projects as an above-average defender across the infield.
Arm 55 Above-average arm strength when he needs it and consistently makes strong accurate throws otherwise.
Overall

De Leon profiles best as a utility infielder, where his defensive skill set and switch-hitting contact abilities will allow him to provide value in a bench role. His elite coordination, spin recognition and quality instincts means his abilities will likely transfer well to the MLB. There is some downside risk that his aggressive approach will lead to too much swing-and-miss even for a utility role, but I am not hugely concerned yet.
