Pitch Type Future Grade Sitting Velocity Peak Velocity Report
FB 65 91-96 98 Boring fastball, above-average movement; some natural armside run plays up at lower end of velocity band; gets plane, higher velocity efforts show late life and explosion up in the zone; below-average present command coming off Tommy John, pitch can play above plus with modest refinement of command.
CB 50 74-77 78 11-6 breaker with good depth, can get loopy and hump out of his hand; inconsistent bite, will flash above-average movement but doesn't snap it off regularly with confidence; inconsistent arm speed replication; works as a change-of-pace but doesn't miss a ton of bats.
CH 30 87-88 89 Firm with mild fade, lacks tumbling action; shows poor command, frequently left it to the arm side and up; poor velocity separation.
Overall

Sadzeck is still working off the rust from a year lost to Tommy John surgery, and it showed in both of these starts. It's an arm strength delivery, and he was frequently late to his slot leading to diminished command and balls wandering to the arm side with regularity. His motion has some cross-fire, and he struggled to keep his drive moving downhill. I didn't see an arsenal deep enough to start.

The good news is that his heater is back. Sadezeck's fastball features premium velocity when he wants it and above-average movement to go with it. The secondaries are raw, with the curveball showing some promise as a pitch with average projection if and when he takes the reigns off and finishing the pitch consistently. If the command takes a step forward with post-surgery repetition Sadzeck projects as a useful middle-inning reliever with the ceiling of a high-leverage setup man.
