Saturday is usually the day Jeffrey and Jarrett make their notes for the show. Instead, they recorded in a hotel room in Bethlehem, PA between games in a split International League doubleheader. On the plus side, this is the shortest episode yet, on the minus side, it is still as disorganized and bogged down in pro wrestling talk as usual. In the first half of the show we discuss Noah Syndergaard‘s continued maturation into an ace generally, and his usage in the Pirates game specifically. We then chat about Travis d’Arnaud‘s short term future with the Mets, and go in-depth on Jarrett’s BP Mets article last week on Jacob deGrom. Next, the BP Mets big boss Bryan Grosnick joins the show to talk David Wright and potential future third basemen for the Metropolitans. Finally we wrap things up with two(!) lists (one David Wright, one pro wrestling), and kibitz about Triple-A baseball.
