All this talk of Cookiepuss (also an early Beastie Boys song, BTW) brings back fond memories for this New Yorker, but if you want to go full New Jersey, I think you have to bring up Action Park: "One extreme example was the park’s Alpine Slide, which has been described by an old Action Park regular as, “essentially a giant track to rip people’s skin off that was disguised as a kid’s ride.”" I can confirm this, and that the Bactine spray applied afterwards hurt like a b*tch. I also weep for our nation's children that they never had the thrill of experiencing it.
