  • Phillies SP Jonathan Pettibone went 7 innings allowing just one earned run in a no decision.

  • Braves OF Jordan Schafer went 1-for-2 with two RBI and two walks.
  • Dodgers 1B Adrian Gonzalez knocked in a pair of runs in the loss.
  • Braves RP Craig Kimbrel picked up his 3rd save in three days and 14th save of the season.

  • Mets RP Bobby Parnell earned his 6th save of 2013.
  • Cubs SP Travis Wood allowed three earned runs over seven innings. Wood also launced a homerun in the 5th inning.
  • Mets SP Dillon Gee went 5 innings allowing three runs and eight hits in a no decision.
  • Mets got homers from OF Juan Lagares and 2B Daniel Murphy.
  • Cubs OF Ryan Sweeney hit his 1st jack of the year.

  • Padres SP Andrew Cashner allowed three runs on seven hits over six-plus inning for his third win of the season.
  • Nationals SP Dan Haren was pulled in the fifth inning after giving up seven runs.
  • Padres SS Everth Cabrera continued to run wild on the basepaths stealing three more bags, upping his season total to 18.
  • Padres 1B Yonder Alonso had a great day at the plate going 3-for-4 with three runs scored, a homer and two RBI.
  • Padres got homers from OF Will Venable and OF Kyle Blanks.
  • Nationals 3B Ryan Zimmerman hit just his 3rd homer of the year.

  • Giants SP Barry Zito allowed five runs on 11 hits over 5 2/3 innings and was tagged with the loss.
  • Rockies SP Juan Nicasio threw six scoreless innings for the win.
  • Rockies OF Dexter Fowler went 4-for-5 with two runs.
  • Rockies OF Carlos Gonzalez went 2-for-3 with two RBI, a run scored, a stolen base and two walks.

American League:

(20-20) Royals – 3 at 4 – Athletics (23-22)
  • Royals SP Luis Mendoza allowed just two runs on eight hits over six innings.
  • Athletics RP Ryan Cook earned his first save of the season filling in for Grant Balfour who was unavailable.
  • Athletics SP A.J. Griffin gave up three runs on seven hits over six innings in a no-decision.
  • Athletics OF Yoenis Cespedes hit his 8th homer of the year.
  • Royals OF Alex Gordon went 4-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored.
(19-23) White Sox – 2 at 6 – Angels (17-27)
  • Angels SP Jason Vargas threw seven scoreless innings for the win.
  • Angels 2B Howie Kendrick went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI.
  • White Sox SP Jake Peavy was charged with four earned runs on four hits over six innings in a loss.
  • Angels SS Erick Aybar went 1-for-3 with three RBI and a walk.
  • Angels RP Ernesto Frieri picked up his 9th save of the year.
(20-24) Mariners – 0 at 6 – Indians (25-17) 
  • Indians SP Justin Masterson struck out a season-high 11 batters while tossing seven scoreless frames for the win.
  • Mariners SP Felix Hernandez wasn't sharp, allowing six runs — five earned — over just five innings.
  • Indians OF Michael Brantley had an RBI single and a three-run homer.
  • Indians are now a major league leading 14-3 in the month of May.
  • Indians got two hits each from OF Michael Bourn, 2B Jason Kipnis and SS Mike Aviles.

  • Rays SP Matt Moore ran his record to 8-0 after tossing seven innings of one-run ball 
  • Rays RP Fernando Rodney bounced back from last Thursday's disastrous outing with a 1-2-3 ninth to notch his eighth save of the season.
  • Orioles SP Chris Tillman allowed three runs on just five hits and a walk over six innings.

  • Rangers SP Derek Holland allowed four runs on eight hits and last just 4 2/3 innings in a no-decision.

  • Tigers SP Doug Fister was knocked around for five earned runs on nine hits over 4 2/3 innings.

  • Red Sox 3B Will Middlebrooks hit his 8th homer of the year while Dustin Pedroia launched just his 2nd.

  • Twins SP Pedro Hernandez suffered his 1st loss of the year giving up three runs in 4.1 innnigs.

  • Astros SP Lucas Harrell allowed just one run over seven innings in a tough luck loss.
  • Pirates 3B Pedro Alvarez supplied the only run of the game with a homer in the 5th inning.

  • Mets prospect SP Rafael Montero has been promoted to Triple-A Las Vegas.

  • Rangers recalled INF Jurickson Profar from Triple-A Round Rock.
  • Rangers placed 2B Ian Kinsler on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 18, with an intercoastal strain.
  • Blue Jays transferred RHP Sergio Santos from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list.
  • Blue Jays claimed RHP Thad Weber off waivers from the Padres, optioned him to Triple-A Buffalo.
  • Angels released INF Bill Hall.
  • Angels sent RHP Barry Enright outright to Triple-A Salt Lake.
  • Angels optioned INF Luis Jimenez to Triple-A Salt Lake.

  • Padres OF Cameron Maybin (wrist) could begin a rehab assignment Friday.
  • Pirates OF Andrew McCutchen is day-to-day with right knee soreness.
  • Nationals SP Nate Karns allowed three runs on seven hits over six innings and had six strikeouts in his start at Double-A Harrisburg.
  • Dodgers OF Scott Van Slyke left Sunday's game with an apparent leg injury.
  • Phillies 1B Ryan Howard will have a precautionary MRI on his left knee Monday.
  • Rockies SP Roy Oswalt struck out nine while allowing only a bunt single over five innings in an extended spring training start on Saturday.
  • Marlins 1B Joe Mahoney (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment with High-A Jupiter this week.
  • Marlins 1B Logan Morrison (knee) is slated to begin a rehab assignment with High-A Jupiter on Monday.
  • Cardinals SP Jake Westbrook (elbow) played light catch on Sunday.
  • Phillies RP Mike Adams could be placed on the disabled list if he doesn't feel significant improvement with his back by Tuesday.
  • Pirates SP James McDonald (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Altoona on May 27.
  • Pirates SS John McDonald (back) is also dealing with a right elbow injury.
  • Dodgers 3B Luis Cruz is nursing a sore throwing elbow.
  • Rockies OF Michael Cuddyer (neck) expects to be activated from the disabled list on Friday when first eligible.
  • Diamondbacks SS Willie Bloomquist (oblique) could begin a rehab assignment midway through the week.
  • Diamondbacks OF Adam Eaton (elbow) played five innings in center field for High-A Visalia on Friday.
  • Mets OF Andrew Brown has been placed on the 7-day disabled list with Triple-A Las Vegas.

  • Indians SP Daisuke Matsuzaka (oblique) is expected to be activated from the disabled list with Triple-A Columbus in 2-4 weeks.
  • Red Sox C David Ross (concussion) has reported improvement and could begin working out soon.
  • Mariners SP Aaron Harang (back) threw a bullpen session Sunday with no issues and is in line to start on Tuesday in Anaheim.
  • Orioles C Taylor Teagarden (thumb) will start a hitting and catching program on Monday.
  • Orioles 2B Brian Roberts (knee) will have the sutures removed from his right leg on Monday.
  • Athletics OF Josh Reddick (wrist) has been taking some dry swings but is not ready to take batting practice yet.

National League:

  • Cardinals SP Tyler Lyons will be called up to start on Wednesday against the Padres.
  • Phillies SP Tyler Cloyd will be recalled to start on Tuesday against the Marlins.
  • Phillies OF Ben Revere hasn't started for four straight games.
American League:
  • Rays manager Joe Maddon said he planned to have SP Jake Odorizzi make all of the starts in place of the injured David Price (triceps).
  • Orioles SP Freddy Garcia will start on Monday against the Yankees.
