It's a beautiful Saturday morning so let's get right to the trots!

Home Run of the Day: Jordan Danks, Chicago White Sox – 21.82 seconds [video]
I'm not sure there's anything more memorable than hitting your first major league home run as a walkoff blast. It's only too bad that Danks will have to listen to Hawk Harrelson's call every time he wants to watch the home run for the rest of his life (and this was Hawk Harrelson dialed up to 11).

Also hitting his first career home run was Baltimore uber-prospect Manny Machado. In fact, Machado hit his first and second career home runs on Friday in only his second career game. The trots were a ridiculously consistent 20.03 and 20.07 seconds.

Slowest Trot: Carlos Beltran, St. Louis Cardinals – 25.49 seconds [video]
Beltran beats out Los Angeles' Juan Rivera for the slowest trot of the night on Friday. Considering Rivera's typical trots, that's quite a feat.

Thursday's slowest trot went to Billy Butler at 28.13 seconds. It's funny, Butler always looks like he's moving slow but he rarely comes through with a trot this bad. Even better, Butler also hit a triple on Thursday. The triple came through in 13.2 seconds, meaning Butler could have run to third twice in the time it took him to round the bases on his home run.

Quickest Trot: Austin Jackson, Detroit Tigers – 14.61 seconds [video]
We seem to be on a rash of inside the park home runs recently. Jackson's came about when Texas rightfielder Nelson Cruz tried to dive for the ball off Jackson's bat. When it skipped passed him, Jackson was off for the races. Two other players – Carlos Corporan and Omar Quintanilla – had 17-second trots on Friday. Either would have easily been the quickest trot of the day pretty much any day of the year. Instead, they are a mere afterthought to Jackson's sprint around the bases.

You want to talk ridiculous consistency and Machado, the same fan caught both home runs.
