Home Run of the Day: Kevin Youkilis, Boston Red Sox – 18.79 seconds [video]
Not a lot to choose from in Tuesday's home runs. Michael Bourn and Brandon Phillips each had two home runs in the Braves/Reds game in Cincinnati. Buster Posey mashed a ball into the Brewers scoreboard at Miller Park. Joaquin Arias and Erik Kratz each hit their first career home runs, while Scott Tolleson hit his first home run since 2010. In the end, Youkilis gets the Home Run of the Day for hitting a home run in his return to the lineup after a month away injured.
Slowest Trot: Wilson Betemit, Baltimore Orioles – 24.59 seconds [video]
Two other players had 24 second trots on Tuesday, but Betemit's was slightly slower than those of Alfonso Soriano and Brandon Phillips. It's a perfectly reasonable trot time, but it just happened to come on a day when no one was any slower.
Quickest Trot: Zack Cozart, Cincinnati Reds & Kevin Youkilis, Boston Red Sox – 18.79 seconds [video and video]
Both trots clocked in at 18.79 seconds for a nice quick sprint around the bases. Michael Bourn's second tater trot was the next quickest trot of the night, a hair behind Youkilis and Cozart at 18.9 seconds.
