The comment on Allan Craig refers to his last DL visit, not the latest one.

Hmm I wonder why it didn't come through. Craig's hamstring injury doesn't appear to be severe and very well could be activated in the minimum 15 days.

St. Louis Post Dispatch is reporting that Berkman has torn his ACL.

The ACL isn't quite so cut and dry but the meniscus and cartilage is. He's going to get a second opinion and is looking at surgery by this Friday.

I'm guessing you're already working on this, but I'd love to see your take on the controversy regarding the use of cortisone in/around Ryan Howard's Achilles tendon last fall.

I was definitely going to touch on it along with Berkman's update. It's not as much of a yes/no answer as it seems.

Cody Ross says the Red Sox aren't blowing this lead without putting up a fight.

Apparently not. I probably shouldn't taunt them from now on.

Could you tell us a bit more about Litsch's infection? Recent Toronto media reports suggest that it might be career-threatening.

It's not clear whether or not the infection is fully cleared. They're awaiting more labs results to see if the infection is popping back up and causing him continued pain in the shoulder. After the infection set in and he had the emergency surgery, there was a lot of scar tissue that got laid down and some of the healthy tissue can actually become necrotic and die as a result of the infection. These are the complications that are being talked about as career threatening because once those tissues become compromised like that, it is extremely difficult to get them back to normal.

The first step though is seeing what the lab results show and then go from there.
