The Baseball Prospectus Prospect Tracker has returned!

The version we released last week was initially developed with internal users in mind, and the traffic it generated upon public release crippled the server it was pulling data from, necessitating a rewrite. While it wasn't fun to have to take down a product so many of you were enjoying, the upside is that the new version of Prospect Tracker was able to be written as a public product from the start, resulting in cleaner and more intuitive interfaces.

There are more improvements planned for the near future, but we think you'll be pleased with what this initial (redux) release offers. As always, let us know what you think in the comments.

There is a curious symmetry between the doubles & triples in hitting stats. Might want to check that coding ;-).

But other than that, still a beautiful thing!

Nope. Still a problem. Maybe it will be fixed on the next daily update?

Can you post a link or a picture of what you're seeing? It looks correct to me: http://i.imgur.com/7ZHYF.png

You were referring to the Top 101? That should be good now.

You will always be able to find it at baseballprospectus.com/prospect_tracker, and we're working on permanent links for it from the front page.

This feature is one of BP's better innovations for 2012. I'm all about one-stop-shopping for prospect stats. THANK you.

Love this product. One thing I liked on the prior version was the star value next to the player. Any chance that is one of the upcoming improvements?

Yes, they'll be back soon. In the last iteration, I was using an imported font to render the stars, but Internet Explorer users weren't able to see them. I'm going to use images this time, but haven't had time to make them yet -- look for them to make a return in the next day or so.

This is great, but one thing that would be great to add, if possible, are the stats of players who no longer qualify as prospects and aren't in the majors, but are on the list of top players 25 and under: guys like Lonnie Chisenhall and Travis Snider. The only way to follow them is milb.com. Thanks.

Tony Rizzao is with the Padres? Seriously?

Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy.

Players are listed with the organizations they were ranked in. Rizzo was dealt after the Cubs list had already been published.
