The Major Leagues had nothing as exciting as an inside-the-park grand slam on Monday, but they did feature a game with a final score of 20-6 *and* another with a Derek Jeter home run. That's a double-whammy of rarity. Can't ask for much more than that.

Let's get to the trots!

Home Run of the Day: Mark Teixeira, New York Yankees – 23.46 seconds [video]
The Rangers beat the Twins 20-6 on Monday in Target Field. With so many runs scored, you might figure that more than three home runs would be hit in the game, but that wasn't the case last night. With no other strong contenders, Teixeira gets the honor with his blast to the second-deck in left field. It looked good off the bat.

Slowest Trot: Carlos Lee, Houston Astros – 26.57 seconds [video]
Though I suppose Carlos Lee had a good case for Home Run of the Day. Not only was this the second day in a row with a home run for Lee, but it was also his 16th career grand slam. He is now tied for ninth all-time in grand slams, with some pretty impressive names (like Hank Aaron and Babe Ruth). Dave Kingman and Robin Ventura are also on the list, but it's not like those two didn't know how to hit.

Quickest Trot: Ben Zobrist, Tampa Bay Rays – 18.23 seconds [video]
There was a tiny bit of confusion on the field about this home run, as the ball bounced high off a wall in the Oakland Coliseum. The umpires called it a home run immediately, though, and Zobrist never once slowed his stride. That probably helps explain the speed of the trot, as Zobrist was practically legging out a double for all four bases. Jeter's first home run since #3,000 was the second fastest trot of the day.
