The trots are up a bit late today, so let's get right down to them.

Home Run of the Day: Hideki Matsui, Oakland Athletics – 23.48 seconds [video]
Dioner Navarro had a splash hit in what turned out to be a 1-0 pitcher's duel between Tim Lincecum and Clayton Kershaw, but it was the team from the other side of the bay that gets the Home Run of the Day. Hideki Matsui joined Major League Baseball in 2003, after ten years playing professional in Japan. With his 168th MLB home run on Wednesday, Matsui reached the 500-home run plateau between the two leagues. That's an impressive achievement. Congrautlations to Godzilla.

Slowest Trot: Todd Helton, Colorado Rockies – 26.98 seconds [video]
It was a "race" between Todd Helton and Hanley Ramirez. Helton came out on top with this 27-second trot, but Ramirez wasn't too far behind at 25.86 seconds. Navarro was a distant third at 24.69 seconds.

Quickest Trot: Will Venable, San Diego Padres – 16.98 seconds [video]
And then there was Venable, who led off the game with this home run and then sprinted around the bases like he had other places to be. It was lovely. Curtis Granderson had the nex quickest trot, coming in at 18.72 seconds.
