In Episode 545, Patrick, Jeffrey and Craig chat about ice cream sandwiches again, movies again, and ads that annoy us, and then discuss five mostly baseball topics.

1. Los Angeles is Burning: The Dodgers are fine, but also lost two games to the Giants, so are they really?
2. Sorry We Missed You: Miami Marlins: The Marlins are competent, but should they be yearning for more?
3. Sorry We Missed You: Baltimore Orioles: I just like the duck, I think it could use more pitching though.
4. Around the Horn: Injuries, call-ups, and an Andrew Stevenson check-in?
5. Better know a host’s favorite team.

Re the quote on Elias expects Cade to throw 180 innings — that was from a parody account (https://x.com/masnSteve/status/2021284030931423410). Elias never said that. It’s been widely (mis)reported as an Elias quote, so I wanted to comment to nip that in the bud.

Arguably, one of Elias’s offseason objectives was to build the “Cade Povich containment wall” out of the bodies of Baz, Bassit, and Eflin, but the wall has since been breached and SP7 Cade escaped his Norfolk quarantine.
