Vegas

The Winter Meetings begin on Monday (actually, they’re already underway) in Las Vegas. BP will once again be providing coverage. John Perrotto will be working the beat. I’ll be photoblogging. Kevin Goldstein will be there as well, so be sure to follow all the action.

If you’re in town, make sure to say hi. I’m not hard to find.

If you’re in radio or TV and want an on-scene report, we have some availability. I can be contacted here if you’d like to try and schedule something.

Will, not to stir the pot, but let's say someone comes to you with a sure thing trade with huge names in it that no one else has reported. Do you just sit on it?

You assume correctly. John's the reporter around here.

Where exactly in Vegas are the winter meetings taking place? My parents are gonna be in town, and were hoping to catch Maddux's retirement press conference.

If you see Dave Littlefield with a cup in his hand in the alley next to your hotel, give him a quarter.

On second thought, don't. He'd just trade it for a dime anyway.

Do agents supervise free agents in Las Vegas to avoid Javon Walker / Pacman Jones situations?

Not indicting the character of any players, but Sin City isn't Opryland.

You underrate Littlefield, Brian.

He'd trade the quarter for two dimes.

Or two nickels. Whichever were shinier.
