The BP cover jinx is pretty well established. Let’s hope that it doesn’t extent to Josh Beckett, who became our first ever photo boy on our new homepage that launched today.
We’re very excited about adding photos and additional graphic elements to our front page, and in re-orienting the page to give interactive elements like Unfiltered, chats, and radio the space they deserve. You can expect to see some continued changes over the next weeks and months as we work to improve your user experience. Feel free to drop me a line with your feedback. More critically, feel free to contact customer service at cs@baseballprospectus.com if you’re having any trouble with the page rendering in your browser. Thanks to Kevin Goldstein and Dave Pease for helping to get this going.
Thanks also to all of you who have written me in the past 24 hours in reaction to Murray Chass’ article in the New York Times and our subsequent reply. I don’t take for granted how loyal you guys (and gals) are to what we’re trying to accomplish here at BP, but it’s been gratifying to see nevertheless.
With all this on my plate, I’ve fallen a bit behind on the PECOTA Takes on Prospects series and some follow-up on my 80’s-style graphic rendering of the defensive spectrum, but I hope to get caught up on these things shortly.
