The scoop on of the strangest home runs you'll see hit this season.

If, like me, you switched to Cardinals-Diamondbacks after the end of Yu Darvish’s almost-perfect game against the Astros on Tuesday night, you were immediately treated to the sight of something almost as interesting:

A very bizarre thing happened in St. Louis on Saturday.

In St. Louis Saturday, Washington's Michael Morse hit a grand slam early in the game. It was an interesting experience. Watch it yourself:

The latest inefficiencies exploited by the Rays: ice cream and classical conditioning.

The Rays are baseball's hottest team, having run up a 15-5 record in August. Their pitchers, who've posted the lowest team ERA in the American League this month, deserve most of the credit. The Dodgers were running away with the National League West, and Kemp was running away with the Most Valuable Player race.

No one knows how long a healthy Kemp could have sustained his incredible early-season run, though by the time he landed on the disabled list with a hamstring injury on May 13, his batting average was down to .359, and he had added only one more extra-base hit. Likewise, no one could have predicted that a player would top that run less two months later.

The tater trots for May 26: three walkoffs and a season-best quick trot from Bryce Harper. Quite the day.

Saturday was a busy day. There were three walkoff home runs, a pair of super-quick trots, a first career home run and more. Chances are, no matter what game you were watching, you saw something pretty great.
