No. And I'm a former White Sox fan/South Sider... I can't stand Hawk. Most of us can't/couldn't.

A bit late to the party.... Any word on: David Denson, 1B; South Hills HS, CA? Kid hit a 515 HR in power showcase. I know that means very little, but nonetheless intrigued about his draft stock.

Yes! Been eagerly awaiting these. With 10 year forecasts back on the drawing board, is there an ETA or is it still TBA?

I concur. Hamilton might take a small hit in the SB efficiency department because it will be the Yadier Molina's of the world trying to gun him down, and not journeymen C in Double-A, but anyone that has seen Hamilton knows his technique needs refinement. He has legitimate baseball skills, so this isn't a Dee Gordon situation. The speed will allow the hit tool to play up, which may mitigate a bit of the bat's value lost from the lack of power. The R and SB totals are going to win many a fantasy title (especially the later stat), but it's not as if he's going to be a replacement level guy at the MLB in real life either. He's going to provide a lot of dWWAR and bWAR on the basepaths and in center, respectively. It's not just SB on the basepaths either; it's going 1st to 3rd, and 1st to home on balls hit to the gaps (e.g. Mike Trout- that's not a comp).

It's likely a sign of how deep this system is, but I would love to see the BP team's thoughts on David Perez, Will Lamb, Yohander Mendez, and Matt West (I know he came back from TJS last year). Jason was quite high on them in his TFR articles.

I was hoping for some mention of Trevor Bauer (maybe the Professor's mythical scouting report on him!), given that he was the headline photograph. Enjoyed the article still. My BP subscription was probably my best decision last year.

Martinez's skillset sounds a lot like the skillsets of guys like Betances and Allie (with a much different size/frame). Is he also the most likely of that trio to avoid a career in the 'pen?

Do more scouts (that you have spoken with) see Betances as a SP or RP at this point? I see a lot of conflicting projections.

Is there a reason Bundy was pulled after 3 IP? Thought the goal was 4 IP yesterday and then 5 IP next time out; pitch count wasn't a factor was it (61 pitches thrown, 40 for strikes)?

I think the plan for the 9th (which is by no means a guarantee given the combustibility of closers) is to go with Nathan for as long as health permits, with Adams as the primary set up man. In a few seasons they'll look internally to a prospect to become their "closer of the future. Early favorites would be Tanner Scheppers (long-ish shot), and Matt West (current favorite).

On the actual list however- i like it. I think you could make an argument for any ordering of Trout/Harper/Moore and I'd agree with it. Personally I'd go Trout/Harper/Moore, but that's just me. I noticed a heavy representation of the 2011 draft class, which I would assume is indicative of how deep and talented that class was. Overall I think the list is well balanced between projection/ceiling and floor players as well as those with pro ball experience and those who signed at the 2011 deadline/yet to make stateside debut. Good deal, can't wait for the chat!

I was born in Chicago and spent my formative years one the South & West sides of the city (though finished high school in the northern burbs and college in Indiana). I've been a Sox fan since I became a fan a baseball. I have never liked the Cubs. I'm not sure if there was anything specific about them that I disliked, though I was never a fan of the stadium. Today though i can say I cannot stand the love that gets poured on the team (even the 100+ year drought gets some sugar coating put on it), especially in the media. The Cubs have always been Chicago's first [baseball] team with the Sox as an afterthought, regardless of where either team is located in the rankings. I didn't notice it (care) much when I was a kid, but now as a media consumer, it's annoying. #RantOver.

It's not a matter of "being able to find" more than one Sox prospect worth mentioning, it's a simple fact. I'm a Sox fan and can tell you that our farm system is about as sexy as a 2012 Jim Thome's defense at shortstop.

If Dunn can bat north of the Mendoza line over a full season, Jerry Reinsdorf has promised to actually spend money—on a giant laser, located just above the press booth, that will target a 1-ton cauldron of popcorn kernels located in the bullpen.

Last year Rosario was a 5-star guy and Mesoraco was a 4-star guy. I'm guessing this year you will have flip-flopped those ratings. Is there much of a difference between them? Clearly Mesoraco has the polish and the better bat overall, but Rosario's power potential and arm rate higher?

Thoughts on Robertson being the heir-apparent in the Bronx? Obviously Rivera is an alien and the job is his as long as he wants it, but in a post-Mo baseball universe, the Yanks don't have a clear next-in-line guy. Soriano, Robertson, and Betances all strike me as likely candidates.

You can gather that from the video alone. Poor choice of words I my part. I meant, I'm uncertain as to why he's doing this. Is he being paid? Doing it out of the kindness of his heart? As a favor? Mentoring a younger athlete? It just seems odd for a guy who was a pro in a different sport to be doing.

Mid-2013 Debut for Cole? Really? That would really surprise me when fellow first rounder (and UCLA teammate) Trevor Bauer is being discussed as potential breaking camp with Arizona's MLB affiliate. Is the polish/advancedness really that big, or did you mean Mid-2012 (for Arb concerns)?
