This is a phenomenal column. Keep this coming, it is amazingly helpful. I'd love an AL/NL only centric version every so often.
"I’m pretty sure my marriage dissolved because of the ridiculousness of this answer" is one of my favorite column sentences in a while...
This is fantastic. That is my full comment and ringing endorsement.
I think these pieces are important. It is always fascinating to hear about what the thought process is in a front office. I also think the most important statement that much of the BP readership doesn't always seem to follow is:
"But acting like some WAR or WARP or whatever leader board is how the MVP ballot should line up is ludicrous.”
This is one of my favorite articles BP has ever had. Perfect.
That is a hell of a piece. Really touching.
Not going to lie. When KG referred to the Astros as "we" I definitely teared up a litttle.
Hey, it's Riley on BP!
Also, this article was fantastic. The Taps was really what did it.
Very simple, to the point, and informative articles like this are why BP is great. I learned more reading this than I would spending a day reading stuff at other sites. Awesome stuff Sam, so glad you are a regular here now.
This is probably the most important article you have ever written Jason. Not enough is said about the plight of the daytime stripper.
"His bat is a wounded animal, slowly dying in plain view."
I think Jason should write those little talking points the announcers talk about before a players comes up to bat for the first time.
I too always liked Zach Thomas for an unexplainable reason.
That is outstanding.
Articles like this are why I subscribe to BP. Amazing
Is Turner's start "strange" because of 0 K's?
Could you answer 50% of the questions you are asked with "What's the rush" ?
Oh wow. This is absolutely positively fantastic. What an amazing addition to BP
That was fantastic
This is a really great feature. Looking forward to more of them.
Just got my copy from Amazon delivered today (lots of books they use lasership in NYC)
This is excellent. I've loved Larry's stuff on the site.
I'm glad Jay gave Leokitty a shout out.
How many other articles out there mention Hitler and Cole in the same paragraph?
This is one of my favorite Hall of Fame columns I've read. I love Larry's approach on this one.
This is such a great new feature. Outstanding job
I'm late to this, but fantastic stuff.
This piece is outstanding. I'd like to see Verducci's face when he inevitably reads this.
This is outstanding. I'm going to go leg press some friends now.
Does anyone on the planet actually enjoy Clamato? Glad to see the N/P rank
Really great column.
I would pay large sums of money to read an Albert Pujols tell-all one day
I need to read this 5 more times but WOW
REALLY fun article. The beard comment made my day.
One of my favorite BP articles in a while... and that is certainly not a criticism of anything on BP.
Phenomenal article. My only issue is that there were no mentions of Faustian Bargains or soul selling.
Does Mike Trout ever have a bad game?
Kevin, when can we expect your full 50 round mock draft to post?
That is fantastic. Larry has been an awesome addition to BP and this is my favorite thing he's done yet.
Are people really getting upset about writers for BP getting career opportunities? Really?
If you were running the Orioles and the Rangers offered Alfaro for Wieters, would you
A) Immediately Accept
B) Immediately Accept and throw in Machado just to be safe
I enjoy the fact that people took my walk comment seriously. That makes me really happy actually.
Ya, that is all well and good, but how often does he walk. If he doesn't walk enough, he sucks. FACT
The worst possible outcome of a bus ride is a stop 30 minutes from your destination. Nothing worse
Brilliant article. Unacceptable managing
Great article. If you have a lower end top 10 pick (let's say 8 or 9) and you need to pick one player with upside to boost your farm system (but you are willing to take a risk he'll bust), who would it be?
I'm going with 6.2 IP 5 H, 3 BB, 2 R, 7 K and let's throw in a double at the plate just for fun
