Any chance Baker sticks around over Hundley once Grandal is added to the roster in SD?

Wouldn't mention them if they weren't. In my 12-team NL-only, all of them are now rostered.

This is fine, truly. But I don't see how it could hurt to dig deeper and add a couple guys for deeper NL-only formats. Joe Mahoney, Julio Borbon, Chris Valaika, Stephen Fife or Jonathan Pettitbone would all have been fine examples for this week.

Good stuff. Would love a list like this for deeper only leagues. Can Ryan Wheeler get some ABs in Denver if Helton hits the DL?

Who does the staff think would be next in line to see some starts in SF in case of injury to a starter or if Timmah is moved to the pen?

With Braun and A-Ram out, the Brewers are trotting out Beatancourt and Gonzalez. Sheesh. Drop the Brewers pitchers down a notch or two if this persists.

What do you think the Brewers will do if A-Ram needs to miss significant time, as is likely the case? Anyone we should be scooping up now?

Thanks. Do you think it would be worth looking into, as an idea for an article? If hindsight were to be used to see if any telievers emerged as closers who had that clause going into the year? I guess such a clause wouldn't be there for the out-of-nowhere guys though...so probably just answered my own question :)

Mike, where do you find out info like that about games finished clauses? And how does that work? That is fanatsy gold as far as I'm concerned, even if it doesn't bear fruit. Truth is I already own both those guys in my 12-team NL league and I was going to dump Gonzalez for Kintzler, but not sure now.

Well, I bid $4 on Maxwell and he went for $5...and didn't end up bidding on Miley. I went for Grilli instead and got him for $1.

Think Wade Miley and Justin Maxwell are worth bids in an 11-team NL league? And does anyone think Miley could get first crack at a rotation spot if one becomes available, ahead of the studs in AAA?

Between Tabata's injuries and McLouth being his primary competition, I think Presley should see a lot of time this year. I have him at $11 in an 11-team NL, and am strongly considering keeping him. My question is, can he be better than the prototypical 4th OF many experts project him to be?

Much as I'd love Jackson to come up, the kid clearly isn't ready: Per NBC: Still, Colvin was the pick over the Cubs’ top position prospect, Brett Jackson. The 22-year-old Jackson got off to a scorching start at Double-A Tennessee this season, but he faded even before his promotion to Iowa earlier this month and he’s hit .204/.298/.367 with 21 strikeouts in 13 games for his new team. Overall, he’s at .247/.361/.431 with 11 homers and 17 steals in 295 at-bats for the year.

Montero, Hanigan, Freeman, Holliday, K. Johnson, N. Walker, Ludwick, S. Smith, Bruce are my core guys. I also lucked into Turner's hot streak of RBIs. My AVG is not so hot, but the power numbers and RBIs especially have been great.

So it's pretty bad if you have both Diaz and Headley on your team in an NL only I guess? Lol, I do, and yet I'm still in first in RBI and third in HR...still, they are huge disappointments...I only paid $1 for Diaz, but expected a $10 return. Not happening. I'll take Headley's production though, especially that AVG. In 4x4, he's been ok, but maybe not for $17. I wonder if that AVG will begin to slide once Ludwick is dealt...

Michael, how much PT do you see for Brandon Crawford? Once Panda and Fontenot are back, who loses out in the SF infield? Does Crawford continue to start over Tejada? Also, does Chris Nelson stick and get regular ABs, in your opinion? I'm FAAB-ing later today, and am wondering who to bid on more between Nelson and Crawford in a 10-team NL 4x4. Thanks!

Is Jose Veras next in line in PIT right now? With Meek hurt and simply not right, and with all the Hanrahan trade rumours, I gambled and took a $1 flyer this week in my NL-only FAAB, hoping for some sort of payoff later. I know these rumours could turn out to be nothing in the end, but what's your take on Veras, and do you think he can handle the closer's job?

I know he has a bum shoulder, but any chance Adam Laroche gets a clue again? He's notoriously streaky, and most of that happens in the 2nd half, but this is pretty bad, even by his standards.

What to make of Koe's "injury"? Anxiety? Is he done being a helpful reliever this year? Only guys I can think of with anxiety issues in the past are Greinke and Votto...Ankiel maybe too? Not sure, but we know Grenke needed more than a year to get his head on straight. Votto, not so much, but he's superhuman.

What do you make of Ryan Vogelsong? The guy has been striking out everyone this year, and continued that trend in his first start yesterday. Worth a gamble in NL leagues? Does he have a chance to stick, and more importantly, could he keep it up?

Jason, what do you think of R Vogelsong as an NL only pick? I am considering bidding on him or R Wolf, who was dropped after his first 2 awful outings. I know Vogelsong was never much, but he's been striking everyone out this year wherever he goes!

Thanks for your feedback Michael...I'm in a 10-team NL league, and here are the SS eligible players on the wire: C. Counsell, M. Fontenot, Alberto Gonzalez, B. Hicks and now Josh Wilson and Brandon Wood...belive me, I hate being the bum stuck with Cedeno!! So I will have to make a bid for Wood and hope that I land him and that he wakes up miraculously in PIT.

How about Brandon Wood for us NL only guys who don't really know much about him...all I keep reading is he's clueless at the plate, then I see his numbers in the minors and I wonder how that can happen? So is he a recommended pickup for us Ronny Cedeno owners? I know, I know...

I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on what Dillon Gee can do if he lands a permanent spot in the rotation, probably when Young is shelved for good in May with an injry. Alos, with Westbrook really struggling, any chance Lance Lynn gets a shot soon? I know Larussa loves his vets, so maybe Lynn needs to wait for an injury. Given a chance, can Lynn succeed in the Majors with his average stuff?

I do agree with davinhbrown there, but it's a step in the right direction. My league is a 10-team NL with a 15 rd reserve, and Carroll was selected in the reserve rounds.

I play in a 10 team NL 4x4, but we start 10 pitchers and have a 15 round reserve, so most of these guys are gone. In fact, most anyone with a pulse and a chance at closing is gone. All projected setup men. I was able to snag Loe in the first FAAB, and Qualls is still there...

Love these, but guys on those lists are long gone, even in only leagues! Would love some input on the more obscure names, where a $1 FAAB bid now could pay off HUGE for years!

Francisco may not win your league single-handedly, but hedging in guys like Burnett sure could, especially in 4x4 NL leagues. Would you guys like to take a stab at some other unheralded, potential closers that could come out of nowhere? How about Kameron Loe? Chad Qualls? Michael Dunn?

I play in a 10-team 4x4 NL, so his Ks make him much less useful obviously, but he went on a nice run in the second half last year where his notorious blowups became far less frequent. If he starts showing me that, I will activate him. It's just that when he's bad, he's, well, you know the rest...

Is Norris even worth a $1 in 4x4? I kept him yesterday at $1, but he will sit on my bench until I see some consistency...doesn't sound like you feel that consistency is coming any time soon though!

RE: Storen Rare are the closers who are drafted as such and come up from the minors to pitch the 9th in the majors. Not saying it can't happen, but usually closers have been around the bigs for a while, ie failed starters or guys with some bullpen experience/success. Wouldn't Burnett be a better candidate for WAS? I ask this as I debate going after Storen in a trade...the obvious time to buy is now.

I own Chacin everywhere, but maybe his rumored demotion to the minors when de la Rosa comes off the DL is turning people away? He's the only one with options, even though he probably deserves a spot over at least Cook and Francis, IMO.
