Correa or Russell long term?
Where would Bauer have been if still with the team?
The level beyond Extreme is Ludicrous
I also couldn't help thinking of Ackley while reading this, but would a primary difference be that Ackley has always been seen to have a plus hit tool? Whether he's consistently shown it so far is a different story. The scouting report on Beckham seems to be more of a gamer without ever having had transcendant tools to rely on
Better prospect -- 19-yr old Walker in AA now, or 19-yr old Teheran in AA two years ago? Same strikeout rate, other numbers better for Teheran, edge to Walker for breaking ball, edge to Teheran for changeup
"The biggest knock against Cole so far in his brief career is a lack of on-the-field dominance; when you have three pitches with plus-plus qualities, you expect to see box scores that reflect their power."
Wasn't that the same knock on him coming out of college?
Per Richard B's question above about Matt Adams being a 4-star guy and ending up at #69, so far KG has had 46 4-star guys and 32 5-star guys in his Top 11 lists (still have 7 teams to go). That puts Adams in the upper tier of KG's 4-star prospects.
*Looks like this isn't going to post directly to that comment for some reason. Good bad pun by the way*
Don't forget about the Reds. Two catcher prospects, two SS prospects, a misplaced bat in Alonso (although the Phillies don't have room at 1B either), need pitching
Would the Rangers ever consider Profar? They already have Andrus, and Kinsler has 2B locked down, so it's not like there's any room in the middle infield. Sign Rollins to a 4 yr deal to bridge the gap. The Rangers only work in general if the team views Hamels as enough of an upgrade over Wilson to give up top prospects, or they're unable to resign Wilson. Otherwise they'll just keep Wilson for roughly equivalent money.
Different position, but Ike Davis. Nobody expects the same production over a full season as he had in 2011 prior to getting hurt, but even projecting reasonable regression, is that enough to offset ankle concerns?
profar or starlin castro long term? assume castro stays at SS (and that he can keep his mind on the game for more than an at-bat at a time)
