Kevin, Are compiling a prospect spreadsheet this year, as in years past?

Dave, I was referring to the 10-year projections. First pitch is about 26 hours away. Thanks for the offer; I may e-mail you, but I think BP will have to make me some guarantees or an awfully sweet offer to me. I've loyally ponied up the last three years' subscription fee & BP did not deliver a product remotely close to what was reasonably expected, for a few years now. I certainly can't be confident in 2012 promises. That would make me a masochist, a fool, or both. I wish I could because all of this both saddens & angers me.

Dave, this isn't meant to be flipped or sarcastic, but is it tomorrow yet? I hope to contribute a worthy response if I get the opportunity; no time right now. It's March 29th. This is the third year I did not receive anything remotely close to what was promised. I understand it is no small endeavor, bit it sounds like six months (off-season) would never be enough time to deliver. That simply was never the case when Nate was involved,

It is the last weekend of the season. The 11th hour has long since past. For years, I've staunchly defended BP against the reputable "upstarts" every step of the way. "BP is the granddad of 'em all." It appears the joke is on me; "granddad," old, slow, and past its prime. With my current subscription expiring in nine days and still no 10-year projections it is a very sad day for me. Once is an aberration, but the issues with PECOTA the last few years were to be resolved over a year ago. I feel naive, but I guess I didn't realized at the time how vital Nate was to the entire operation.

"As if that weren't enough misrepresentation, even more dishonest . . . " Dumb down the public & do not confuse the issue with facts. No surprise; it sounds like the standard operating procedure from that side of the aisle. (Just a quick observation, not a segue for a heated debate.) Outstanding piece, Jay . . . the slight blood boiling not withstanding.

Thanks & sorry; I didn't see that bullet point in the article. Started shooting before before aiming. My bad!

Whoa, what happened to five-year or ten-year value projections? That's why I'm a subscriber. Am I missing something? You used to provide forecasting for WAR & $-value. Am I missing it? Are you still providing it? Thanks.

Don't now where else to ask this . . . Can anyone give me an ETA on the Player Cards? When will the 2011 cards be published?

What people are suggesting is a Matrix, and it doesn't require multi-tabs. Joe, I've been compiling your data in my own database for the last few years (from BDD site last year) and creating a Matrix. This year my Matrix will be even more in-depth. It's my understanding you'll be receiving my Matrix, through a mutual acquaintance, when it's completed.

I can't access the page, either. Is there still a server issue or do I need to look into this further?

How often are these updated/published? Have there been any since Update #6 and I just missed or can't find them?

Oh I used to be disgusted and now I try to be amused. But since PECOTA's got BUSTED, you know, Prospectus wants to wear my red shoes. Is it me or should we be getting better & more frequent updates on the comments? Seriously though, 2010's PECOTA will be more accurate than ever, once released in October. Where do things stand with the Player Cards? There's a lot of talk about the s'sheet. How accurate are the cards? As far as prognosticating or as a handicapping tool, this year's book makes great kindling. Is that correct? I haven’t run across any responses (in a while) regarding the comments about inconsistencies between the book and the (continuously updated) site. Make no mistake; I am not berating BP . . . the people, the work, analysis, etc. Big fan! However, this has been quite the SNAFU this year to say the least. I know what it's like when a new product, new version, or new build is released (no picnic). But this is an extreme of the 5th Z-score zone. I'd venture out on a twig and say staffing (or the depletion of such) is a factor (if not a factor-and-a-half). I haven't been able to follow the updates & threads as closely as many of you, but I do think this de facto QA army deserves a lot of credit. Ya got mine. Kudos!!!
