All this means is that there is a bias towards selecting larger players, which we already knew. What we don\'t know is whether or not this bias is reflected in the performance of the players.
There is an easy way to answer this question: \"Does height matter?\"
You need two groups, the first group would have the top 40 (or so) pitchers by VORP (or other metric) and the second group would have everybody else. Then take the heights of the players and compares the means. It should give you a pretty clear answer.
