While the system he proposes might be an improvement over just hits/errors it falls sort of any objective measure and I think the whole point of sabermetrics is to find objective knowledge. To dismiss objectivity as being possible, in support of an admittedly subjective metric, doesn't seem to fit with baseball prospectus, and is a pretty disappointing arguement. As another commenter points out, we're already developing objective fielding knowledge. To use this system is really a step backwards.

Nice article. Like you said the show isn't perfect, but it's enjoyable to watch. My brain shuts down during Intentional Talk, so it's great to have something intelligent right after.
