A Purdue mention? Boiler up! Don't see many of my alma mater's ballplayers around...

How does Jeter's slugging change from #2 to #3? Curious if it increases in the 3-hole, and if it does, if that "cancels out" the net bases lost by those missing hits/walks from the OBP.

My wife and I will be there from Springfield, IL! Glad to have a meet 'n' greet close enough to get to.

I will mow your lawn for further team installments like this. Or do your dishes. Or clean your bathroom. This was TERRIFIC Sam, just awesome.

Appreciate the response. I'd have guessed the number activated would have more like double the 15-22, so a reduced volume would certainly make the extra work unneeded.

With the number of activations every year on 9/1 or 9/2 due to roster expansion (when a player could/should have been activated earlier), do you feel there is any need to revise any of the historical "days lost" counts by injury due to this date? It may not have a real impact on averages, but I was just curious if saying "sprained thumb is 50 days" is really accurate if some of those thumbs could have been activated a few days earlier than they were, but for the expansion date, and really the actual average is more like 48.

I think Corey's going to throw my OFTY (out for the year) idea on folks like Litsch at some time or another...

Can I coin a new (maybe) acronym here? I'd like to see a section or indication just for those who are OFTY -- out for the year.

From a Marlins fan -- that description is beautiful.

Daniel Hudson's team logo is looking for "ATI" instead of "ARI", causing the picture break.

Since we can't sort by comment date (and may never be able to), how about moving the comment date to the front? Or putting a bold *NEW* in front of the new ones for the day? It would make skimming through for updates much easier as this list grows ever larger. Love seeing these updates every day, BTW.

Any chance you could move the last update date on a note to the front of the comment instead of the back? Or provide a way to sort by note date? I read by skimming to new comments, so either option would make that easier with the injury volume ever-increasing.

When I sort by team, I get Bonifacio and Kearns as if they were Florida Marlins, but Ceda as a Miami Marlin. Which I think is a neat trick, btw.

I look forward to seeing Castellanos in Erie, hopefully in the near future, to give our Seawolves some offensive help. Looks like the kid can bring it...

Now can we have a way to sort those comments, showing undated, newer ones at top and dropping down through to the very old comments?

I'd like to see it be able to be sorted by comment date. That way the recently commented players can be at the top while those with older comments would be at the bottom. That's how I skim these every day anyway.

Corey, is there any way to sort by the last player comment date? After reading your intro, I skim through looking for new comments, and if there was a way to sort them chronologically (new ones on top, old ones at the bottom for all those TJs), it would be wonderful.

My family has been connected with MS, as my sister was diagnosed about 10 years ago. From her, and from me, thank you for your support of the cause, it is definitely appreciated!

Gigantic KITH fan here, and I'd forgotten about the skit. So I found the season DVD and watched the whole thing all over again...Thanks Larry! PS -- I (heart) Dave Foley!

Any chance that for the 2011 picks of future teams that you could include their collegiate/high school stats instead of a DNP or the stats from what few games they did manage to play professionally?

As as Marlins fan since the beginning, through good teal times and bad, I can promise I'll never buy anything with THAT logo on it!

I'm a Marlins fan in the middle of Illinois... I love me some BP writers... I like saving money on future subscriptions... I REALLY need to find a way to get to this. Think Springfield offers direct-to-Tampa flights?

Marlins fan here -- yes we exist, even in Illinois. Nice to see the pitchers with happy, happy colors in their chart. Since I can't imagine Helms actually being the starter, how does Dominguez look through the CHIPPER eyes?

A die-hard Marlins fan wants to know -- does Coghlan have any chance of playing a passable center? I've seen enough Bonifacio to make my eyes melt. Thanks.

Now's as good a time as any to make this my first post. Having both a sister and a number of friends afflicted with MS, and seeing what they have to go through every day just to get around, my sincerest gratitude goes out to PEV and all the (re)subscribers who helped make this possible.
