I think the point of the article is that there arent hundreds or thousands of people taking to the airwaves and the internet each day wondering why the IT manager didnt upgrade the company's servers the day before. Or saying, I should be the IT manager for Big Joe's Widgets and Stuff, that guy there currently is a moron.
A blurb on Nick Ramirez? I know he was old for the Pioneer league and had some contact issues in the Midwest, but any future potential there besides the bat only 1B prospect?
One reason would be the draft in the middle of the season, as well any trades that could be made during the year... Maybe Theo gets someone to bite on Soriano. Or maybe having Theo on board would help give Pujols the warm and fuzzies about signing with Chicago. That might be worth a good amount on it's own.
Dont forget he had hamate surgery last season. I believe this often saps some of the power in the wrists and hands even after coming back. If the "surge" continues this would fit well with Montero building strength as the season goes on and getting back to some of the things he was doing before the injury.
Hey KG, I'm curious if you have any insight to Hector Rondon's struggles so far this year? He had looked impressive on the way up the last two seasons, but hes been dominated in AAA so far. The strikeouts are still there, but 44 hits and 12 HRs allowed in 6 starts so far??
I thought the same thing when I read this. It seems like Hillman might be confusing cause and effect. As in winning teams seeing more pitches per plate appearance is not the cause of them winning but is the effect of having better hitters on the team, which typically correlates to winning a game.
