Pitch Type Present Grade Future Grade Sitting Velocity Peak Velocity Report
FB 60 60 92 95 keeps around the zone; will get overly reliant on pitch; maintains velocity from the stretch; some downhill from release point, but pitch stays straight; slight run at times
SL 45 50 80 81 sharp bite; depth over sweeping action
CH 45 55 83 85 some fade with plus drop; still developing feel and consistency--has promise of above avg pitch with swing and miss ability
CONTROL 35 40     walks have been a struggle historically; FB around zone, off-speed relies on chasing
COMMAND 40 45     FB stays up in zone; keeps off-speed low, but lacks consistency and feel
Overall

Plus FB with potential AVG off-speed offerings from former 1st round pick. FB gets heavy use, relies more on velocity than movement. Tends to be around zone or over the heart of the plate. SL has bite with depth. CH flashes above average--fade with drop. Needs to develop consistency to throw for strikes to take step forward. Control is most glaring issue. Improved strike throwing could push him to being a decent 4 starter. As is, likely a fringe 5 in rotation or long man in bullpen. Young enough to gamble on.
