3/4 slot; great size; listed height and weight are correct; stiff arm and hips; has strength throughout; repeatable; slightly crossfire; some effort.
Rancho Cucamonga Quakes (High A, Dodgers)
50; late innings reliever
Arm-side run; command is fringy; often lives up in the zone; cut/sink; mostly 91-93; heavy pitch; can come inside to righties; 94 only once.
Some tilt; shorter break than most SL; some good vertical drop; two-plane break; can manipulate it; can spike it.
Lacked plus movement the first start; better in the second; had more 2-seam sinking action; maintains arm speed well; deception is there; inconsistent with command; left up too often.
Windle gets by with a plus fastball and a solid ability to sequence. Unfortunately, the secondary stuff isn't eye-popping and often is left over the plate and hittable. While he holds his velocity just fine, I see a better fit for him in the bullpen, where hopefully the fastball can rise a few ticks and the slider can become more of a weapon.
