Funky; jerks body and has pronounced arm stab in the back; comes high frontside; 3/4 slot; works from the stretch; some violence in the actions; big arm strength; incredible athlete; looked like a position player; made best fielding play from the mound I've seen in years; highly competitive and displays swagger; 1.25 to the plate with runners on.

Pitch Type Present Grade Future Grade Sitting Velocity Peak Velocity Report
FB 50 60 91-94 95 Shows plus velocity as a starter; worked comfortably in the 92-93 range for several innings; topped at 95; has some deception in the delivery that allows ball to creep on RH bats; overall command is below-average; shows some feel for control but misses over the plate and above the belt; overall movement is below-average to fringe-average; occasional late hop but mostly flat especially at belt or above; average overall offering in a rotation; likely to play up in relief bursts, which is what I'm projecting; plus offering in relief (should be able to max effort 93+.
CT 45 50 86-88 88 Decent little cutter; plays well with the FB and get into the hands of LH; short little horizontal burst to the glove-side; effective as poor contact offering; command wasn't sharp and would start too far out over the plate without enough movement to escape middle-in; very effective when he could work lower in the zone; induced several poor swings; should be an average pitch with slightly better command.
SL 45 50 82-84 85 Decent slider; would flash plus but more of a fringe-average-to-average pitch; should late break; tight and short, with more of a vertical drop than sharp slice; dropped a filthy one at 84 with more tilt; that was a plus pitch but it wasn't consistent and command wasn't sharp; good offering to RH; good play up in bursts; might be underselling it some based on starter look.
CH 35 40 83-84 84 Limited look; dropped a few CH to LH bats; lacked movement; firm but thrown in the zone; both cutter and slider were more effective as change-of-pace offerings; not a pitch that would force higher level LH hitters back on the ball.
Overall

I like it. Highly athletic righty with aggressive/confident approach; attacks with FB from jerky/violent delivery; maintained his stuff through 4+ innings; hit 93 in last inning of work; command started to fade throughout start; reliever all the way for me; both cutter and slider could be average, effective pitches; FB should play up; needs change of sight pitch or something with more velocity separation than SL/CT; will pitch in the majors.
