Bobby Wilson keeps hitting for average, making him a good bet to be the backup catcher in place of Mathis by the end of the year.

2007

A high school teammate of Casey Kotchman`s, Wilson`s a decent enough catching prospect, and he swings a quick bat that generates a lot of liners. He`s that odd rarity, a catcher who can throw well, but is sort of rough behind the plate; anybody remember Mike Heath? He won`t be a major improvement on Napoli or anyone else, just something different, and a plausible half of a job-sharing arrangement.
