2008 While Ramirez has yet to get out A-ball, he's already been traded twice for big leaguers, going from Atlanta to Cleveland in 2006 for Bob Wickman, and moving to Texas last year in the Kenny Lofton deal. He's one of the top offensive catchers in the minors, having shown an ability to hit for average with decent power and plenty of walks, but his defense remains a large enough question mark for some to wonder if he can stay behind the plate and where his future lies if he can't. 2007 Acquired from the Braves in the Bob Wickman deal, Max Ramirez instantly became the Indians` best catching prospect thanks to very good on-base skills and a little bit of power. On paper, he`s the heir apparent to Victor Martinez, but in reality, he has defensive issues of his own.
