BP Annual Player Comments

YearComment
2007 Many of the Twins` top hitting prospects had disappointing seasons, and Moses leads that particular pack. Always in possession of one of the prettiest swings, Moses used to have excuses revolving around injuries or being rushed, but he was healthy the whole year, belonged in Double-A in his third full season, and he failed all the same. As long as we`re hitting a guy when he`s down, he`s not a really good third baseman either.
2006 Like his namesake, Moses has been wandering for a bit, having had to overcome a congenital birth defect of his heart and a back problem in the previous two seasons. However, he`s finally found his way as a prospect. Keep his relative youth in mind: at 20, playing in the Florida State League, let alone Double-A, is a huge challenge, and one he rose to. He still struggles at the plate when he starts trying to pull everything; the Twins have tried to keep him focused on spreading the ball around. He`s not considered an asset at third yet, but he`s a former high school shortstop with the range and hands for the hot corner, if perhaps not the arm.
