(Mike from Minnesota)		No, and they shouldn't bother. If you're going to be an also-ran, why sign Lofton (who can't really play center any more)? And to some extent, they already have one such guy, in that Darnell McDonald is on the 40-man, and he's actually pretty handy. I suspect this will be the big opportunity for guys like Pridie and Span to show something now, while Gomez polishes his game in Triple-A--which he definitely needs to do. (Christina Kahrl)
