DateQuestionAnswer
2016-05-26 19:00:00 (link to chat)Hi Mike, I have a trade that I'm contemplating. It is for my 16 team Dynasty H2H with OBP and TB. We must start 3 RP and have the flexibility of 3 Utl spots. I recently had a hole at 1B and traded Sano for J.D. Martinez and Chris Carter. Carter helped fill the hole at 1B. I have an offer on the table for Jose Abreu and A. Bailey for Strasberg and K-Rod. In my other 2 RP slots I have Jansen and Ramos. Loosing Strasberg would leave me with Corrasco, Maedea, Pomeranz, J. Hammel, Karns, Rubby De La Rosa, Manea, Snell, Minor, and Greene. Should I make the trade? Will my pitching survive? Does Abreu make a significant upgrade in a offense with Posey, Carter, Rendon, Franco, Tulo, Springer, J.D Martinez, Kemp, Choo, M. Upton, and Morales? Thanks for your help...
(CharJaco from CA)
Abreu is slumping but that's still fair plus you're getting a closer for a reliever in Bailey who isn't likely to get saves any time in the near future. It's Hector Neris if Jeanmar Gomez falters. Do the deal. (Mike Gianella)
2016-05-24 13:00:00 (link to chat)Hi Jim, I have a trade that I'm contemplating. Upton, and Morales? Thanks for your patience...

For the record, I can't help on fantasy trades. My teams are decent, but not great. (Jim Walsh)

2014-08-25 13:00:00 (link to chat)Danny Salazar or Rubby De La Rosa in 2015. Go!!
(Looking Good from Feeling Good)
Salazar has struggled but I still like his ceiling better than De La Rosa's. The potential for nearly a strikeout an inning makes me go with Salazar. And De La Rosa could be the Salazar of 2015: a hyped guy who will be good at some point but isn't there yet. (Mike Gianella)
2013-05-07 13:00:00 (link to chat)I'd love your perspective on Rubby De La Rosa? Up this year? As an SP or bullpen guy? He was promising in LA.
(BJ Birdy from Ontario )
I'm a HUGE fan. Whether he's an SP depends on a spot opening more than anything else. BB are the issue. More of a 2014 play for me. If I had to bet, I'd bet RP with maybe a spot start or 3 this year. (Paul Sporer)
2013-04-04 11:00:00 (link to chat)What do you project for Rubby De La Rosa? Sounds like you have him 3rd behind Barnes and Webster.
(achaik from Maine)
Love the arm; just not sold he's a starter like Barnes and Webster. (Jason Parks)
2013-04-04 11:00:00 (link to chat)Rubby De La Rosa or Robert Stephenson- who has higher ceiling and who is more likely to reach it?
(The Dude from Still Working)
Rubby's arm is ridiculous, but I'm not sold he's a starter. I think Stephenson can start. I'd give the ceiling to him, but Ruby is obviously closer to making an impact at the highest level. (Jason Parks)
2013-03-20 11:00:00 (link to chat)How would you rank these late game SP options? Garcia, Tillman, Straily, Gee, Burnett, Marcum. Who are some of your favorite final round SP sleepers?
(Briscodarlin from Mayberry)
I like Garcia and Gee best of those options. For deeper sleepers, Jeff Niemann and Kyle Kendrick. REM cycle, Rubby De La Rosa. (Cory Schwartz)
2013-02-25 11:00:00 (link to chat)We had a brief enough glimpse at Rubby De La Rosa in 2011 for him to lose his rookie/prospect status, but what are thoughts on his future? Reportedly hit 100mph several times yesterday...
(Saintly Steven from Puerto Rico)
He has a great arm; no doubt. I still think he ends up as a flame-thrower in the 'pen, and that will be fun to watch. (Jason Parks on the Top 101 Prospects)
2011-06-02 13:00:00 (link to chat)NL only, 12 team league. We have one bench spot currently held by Ankiel as there is NOTHING available for free agent hitters. I'm trying to get to first in saves, so with that said, is Rubby De La Rosa worth keeping active, or should I cut either him or Ankiel to activate Vicente Padilla?
(kddean from Chicago)
Ankiel's a very solid bench guy in a league that deep. I think de la Rosa is more of a longshot to take saves in LA, and depending when you actually need to make a decision, I'd probably activate Padilla and drop him. I think there's a greater than 50/50 chance he starts getting save opps again until Broxton returns. If you have a few days before you need to make a decision, see how LA uses Padilla. Definitely don't drop Padilla, though, if that's something you're considering. (Derek Carty)
2011-05-09 13:00:00 (link to chat)Rubby De La Rosa is getting a lot of love from various prospect blogs. Does he have anything in addition to the 100 mph fastball (not that he needs anything more, haha)? Future starter or reliever in your opinion?
(Nic from Pike Lake)
Actually, he does need more, and he has a good changeup. Scouts are somewhat mixed as to his future as a starter or reliever. (Kevin Goldstein)
