DateQuestionAnswer
2011-06-21 13:00:00I have the following four catchers in a 16 team Strat-O-Matic league where you can keep a guy forever if you like. Which do you like long term: Chris Iannetta, Ryan Hanigan, Josh Thole, Jason Castro? I'd love to have a stronger catcher, but that's not a possibility until next year's draft.
(jhardman from Strat-O-Matic land)
Unfortunately I haven't had the opportunity to play a strat-o-matic league before, so I'm not sure how all the specifics work, like how catcher defense is factored in. Hitting wise in regular roto terms, I like Iannetta the best. (Derek Carty)
2010-03-17 14:00:00Two pitching questions: 1) What are the chances of Bumgarner finding that missing velocity? 2) Jenrry Mejia, 8th inning or Triple A? And Happy St Pat's
(Jquinton82 from NY)
Happy St. Pat's to you too, especially when it's such a gloriously beautiful day (here in Chicago, at least). I think Bumgarner's going to be fine, and would refer you to some of the things Kevin Goldstein has said about how, last year, he'd been allowed to throw too much between games, and that was the problem. I'd love to see Mejia stick around, in part because he'd be another guy to count among those story-changing youngsters that the organization does have almost ready. However, like Josh Thole, I can see taking their time and easing him in later on this season. (Christina Kahrl)
2009-08-21 14:00:00Are you a believer in Josh Thole? He cant be worse than Schneider and Santos, right?
(brian from Brooklyn NY)
If that's your litmus test in me believing in him, then yet. Not a great defender, but can hit. Best comp I've heard from a scout is Darrin Fletcher. (Kevin Goldstein)
