Met him once when we brought him in for a weekend to do a seminar(Pedro Sauer too, if you know who that is). The guy was so freakin nice you wouldn't believe it. I asked him if he had any other hobbies besides bjj, like fishing or something off the wall. He kinda paused and just looked at me and said "No man, life is jui-jitsu". We just laughed about it.
Anyway, love the work you guys put into this site. Thanks for all of your hard work.
Pompey seems like a good kid. He had a concussion last year mid-season which caused him to miss some games. When I saw he got another one this spring, my heart dropped for him. I hope he rebounds and at least gets a legit chance to compete for a spot. He deserves that much.
I'm really excited to see what Cooper can do with Lopez, Giolito and Kopech. Lopez has looked good this spring, but Giolito clearly needs more time in the minors.
Tapia before some of the other names on that list absolutely blows my mind.
That was fun.
One question though: Why is Tapia 13 on this list but 42 on the baseball prospectus 101? If you really believe that he's either Herrera or Inciarte(but in Coors), shouldn't he be higher than 42? Those are pretty nice players who would be even better in Coors.
New subscriber here, but I've been reading for a while. Love the work you all do, keep it up.
I'm very surprised by the difference in Yohander Mendez on your list and BA's top 100. You have him 39, they have him un-ranked. What do you believe is the cause of this disparity?
